Learning & Leadership
Coursework
All participants have coursework to complete!
Assignment details and due dates will be available starting December 1. The course runs from December 1 to March 1. Click the hyperlinks below to access your course directly. You will need to click "Login with Staff Resources Credentials" to login. If you do not have Staff Resources Credentials yet, please contact your regional admin. If you experience any issues logging in, please contact the Digital Learning Team.
You'll need to self-enroll in the course using the enrollment key; the key will be sent via email by the end of November. Please do not share this key. Staff must register to receive the key; otherwise, their course enrollment may be invalid.
Academic Credit
- ❮
If you plan to register for seminary credit, you will be required to complete the for-credit registration through Young Life and the seminary partner of your choosing. You are responsible for following up on any additional forms required by your seminary partner (i.e., online course registrations, transcripts). Each seminary school will issue you a school domain email address. Be sure to check that email often to be best prepared for processes and deadlines associated with your coursework.
Important Note: The cutoff date for registering as a "for-credit" student for this course is December 15, 2025. If, for any reason, you wish to unenroll for academic credit, you will need to contact us prior to January 6, 2025. After this date, your transcripting fee is nonrefundable, and you may be expected to complete any for-credit work (as the Learning and Leadership department may be expected to submit your final grade to your seminary partner, even if your final grade is a failing grade).
For more information, visit our Academic Credit page on Staff Resources or contact us!
Books

Learning & Leadership will not be mailing required books for this course.
The registered participant will be responsible to purchase/obtaining all books that are required for this course. However, feel free to purchase used copies, rent from your local library, or borrow from previous participants if that’s an option for you.
Introduction to the Old Testament - You are required to have all the textbooks for the course, along with the Course Handouts. You will need to purchase the Timeline, Maps, and Course Handouts (PDF), as we will be using them each day, but feel free to borrow the Study Guide from a previous participant if that’s an option for you or purchase it second hand on Amazon (it is also available on Kindle). Young Life staff are eligible for a 10% discount on orders from casketempty.com using a discount code that will be emailed on November 15. If you’d like to order books early with the discount, please contact us.
