What is the fee structure?

  • $700 Academic Credit Transcript Fee
  • No Cost for Leadership 1, Leadership 2, and Biblical Interpretation
  • The mission unit designated on your registration will be charged for the course. If your mission unit changes throughout the year or another mission unit should be charged, please reach out to our department (learning@sc.younglife.org).
  • The total charge is split into three payments, where the first charge is incurred at the end of February. The remaining two charges will occur at the end of March and then April. New Staff Training fee extraction 2024 will begin in September 2024 due to 1YL.

What if I am a nursing mom and need to bring my baby?

  • You are more than welcome to bring your nursing baby and a caregiver and they can stay on camp with you, all in your own housing space. Contact us​ or add on your registration comments that you will be bringing your nursing baby and a caregiver so that we can arrange accommodations for you.
  • We charge the adult companion for a trainee the daily camp rate, which is $83/day; we do not cover travel for the caregiver. Often staff discuss with their supervisors whether or not the mission unit covers a portion of this cost. While you're at camp, we just want you to place a high value on being in class and involved as much as possible with the course content and then, of course, being with family any time outside of that.
  • You can book your flights with your P-Card outside of Egencia (so that you can get seats together), send us the receipt, and we will reimburse your mission unit for the attendee's flight. Please make sure to stay within the given parameters.

What if I want to visit a Learning event, but I am not a registered atTendee?

  • We are stoked that you want to visit staff at our Learning event! However, our courses are held at Young Life properties and space is limited (300 campers in a Club Room is not the same as 300 adults in the Club Room...). Therefore, please contact us​ if you wish to visit. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Cancellation Policy

  • If for any reason you need to cancel your registration for one of our courses, you must contact the Learning and Leadership department within 24 hours of your registration to avoid any cancellation fees.
  • Cancellations after 24 hours may result in a $100 fee.
  • Plane tickets are non-transferrable; therefore, airfare cancellations become the property of the area employing the person ticketed. Should anyone need to cancel, the mission unit will be charged for the cost of the flight.
  • Our department must be notified if someone goes off staff and will no longer take the course or the $100 cancellation fee will apply.
