We are so excited to gather at Young Life's SharpTop Cove (Jasper, Georgia) for Area & Ministry Director School January 24-29, 2027. Below is important information regarding our time together.

Packing

Check the forecast for the weather in Jasper, GA and pack accordingly. Dress is casual. SharpTop also has a hot tub, so bring a swimsuit!
We encourage you to bring a Bible, your own devotional material, headphones, laptop, journal and pen.
Bedding and a towel will be provided.
Please treat the in-person intensive like a summer assignment, which means abstinence from alcohol and tobacco during our time on camp property.

DRIVERS

ARRIVAL DAY - SUNDAY, JANUARY 24

Get directions to camp property (76 Camp Hope RD, Jasper, GA 30143). Plan on arriving during welcome between 4 - 6 PM. Check in at the Wheelhouse porch for your housing, drop your belongings off in your cabin, and park your vehicle near the Cherokee lodging (by the main office).

Then, hang out, grab dinner, and show up to the initial gathering (specified times will be provided in the schedule).

DEPARTURE DAY - FRIDAY, JANUARY 29

Please be off camp property by 8 AM . If you are departing between 6:30-8 AM, be mindful of the charter busses that may be arriving to camp.

Don't forget to complete your driver mileage in Workday and allocate the expense to Cost Center 2700. Learning and Leadership will reimburse your area for mileage up to $500.

FLYERS

Flight details and parameters will be made available on November 1 and will be sent in an email so be on the lookout for booking emails. Bookings will look different this year so when you receive communication on November 1st please read it carefully and let us know if you have any questions!

Plane tickets are non-transferrable; therefore, airfare cancellations become the property of the area employing the person ticketed. Should anyone need to cancel, you will be responsible for doing so.

special diet REQUEST FORM

If you have a special diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten/dairy free, etc.), complete SharpTop's Special Diet form to let the kitchen know. Designate the group as "Area & Ministry Director School 2027."

HOUSING

Housing at SharpTop Cove will be in camper dorms utilizing bunk beds.
We will make every effort to accommodate needs and preferences based on registration, though no guarantee can be provided. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!
If you have an extenuating circumstance regarding housing needs, please contact the Learning and Leadership department before December 1.
